If you’re reading this, it means you’ve purchased our dough & are ready to make your very own healthy sourdough pizza!
Here we go…..
The day before you want to make your pizza, remove it from the freezer & allow it to thaw in the refrigerator.
If you want/need your dough to de-thaw faster, leave it out on the counter, somewhere warm, for 4-6 hours.
(Be sure to use it within 48 hours of de-thawing to ensure maximum freshness)
1.) Gather & prep the ingredients you’re going to use for your toppings.
2.) Preheat The Oven To 450 degrees
if you’re using a pizza stone make sure its already inside the oven
**The size of your pizza will be about 12 inches & you’re going to want to make sure the crust is very thin so the pizza can cook all the way thru.
3.) Roll out a sheet of parchment paper onto the counter, dust it with flour & plop the dough ball straight into the center
4.) Throw a generous dusting of flour on top (so it’s not sticking to anything) then you will begin stretching out your dough.
5.) Stretch The Dough
There are various ways people do this but we are recommending to use gravity as your ally.
First…. flatten the dough by gently moving the gasses in the center towards the crust.
You will do this by squashing the middle, starting close to the center and working your way out.
Next, you will begin to stretch the dough. You’re going to use the knuckles of your two thumbs - gently so not to poke thru. Slowly lift the dough onto your knuckles & raise it up off the counter so it’s resting on the back of your hands, you will feel the dough start to drop, using gravity, then rotate it until it’s reached your desired size.
You’ll know it’s thin enough because it will measure about 12 inches in diameter.
6.) It’s time to add your toppings.
Once you’ve added all the desired toppings, transfer it directly onto the pizza stone or baking sheet.
7.) Bake 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden & cheese is melted, bubbly & lightly browned. If the center is gooey- it needs more time!
8.) ENJOY Your Delicious Pizza!
